The role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join Handshakes. The Project Manager will be handling multiple projects in different industry sectors from start to finish, is responsible for planning and guiding the project. Strong engagement with stakeholders on the client side and internally will be a central part of this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Determine and define project scope, objectives and planning of the projects
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
  • Responsible for coordination of resources and staff
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines and within budget
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Designing and signing off on contracts
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
  • Responsible for started new projects, reporting, reviewing and optimizing projects
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant computer science, engineering, information technology or related field.
  • At least 3 years of delivery lead experience with hands-on experience in delivering agile projects (planning, execution and team management)
  • Capacity to manage high stress situations
  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum/JIRA)

  • Experience with web scripting languages such as PHP, Javascript, or Python
  • Familiar with AWS components and services, e.g. S3, API Gateway, Lambda Functions, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management and user research
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • familiarity with GDPR in Europe, PDPA in Singapore will be an advantage
